About the project

The La Mata Plaza project consists of 14 apartments – all with large terraces, two business premises on the ground floor and 11 underground parking spaces. The project also includes a shared roof terrace with a large jacuzzi and a west-facing view of the salt lake.

Ten of the apartments have direct views of the square, the beach and the sea. These apartments – i.e. apartment types A and B – all have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The penthouse apartments of type A and B each have direct access to their own private roof terrace of 80 m2, with a panoramic view.

The four other apartments, apartment type C, face west towards the salt lake with two bedrooms and one or two bathrooms. You can choose whether you want to buy one of the 11 parking spaces in the parking basement.

About the apartments and their contents

We have focused heavily on ensuring the most efficient use of the space in the apartments. Among other things, we have avoided corridors and unused space. Rather, we offer apartments with a large and airy living room, as well as a practical open kitchen solution.

Large window surfaces and modern glass sliding doors with thin aluminum frames ensure that you get the maximum effect of daylight and the unique view. We also have spacious terraces with space for both a sofa group and a dining table. From the terrace you have direct access to both the living room and bedroom via sliding doors.

This means that the terrace becomes a natural extension of the apartment. We have also thought about details such as an integrated wardrobe at the entrance, which is not as common in Spain.

The open kitchen solution consists of kitchen furniture along the wall, as well as a modern kitchen island. There is plenty of space here for cooking and storage. The kitchen fan is integrated into the ceiling to preserve the open and airy feeling in the room.

Location and facilities

La Mata is a charming place that belongs to the Torrevieja region, and is located 40 km south along the Mediterranean Sea from Alicante airport.

The apartment project La Mata Plaza has a unique location in the middle of the square in the center of the town of La Mata and at the northern end of La Mata beach. From the building you have a direct view of the square, the beach and the turquoise Mediterranean. Here you will find both restaurants, bars, cafes, a church and a bakery. Many of them are open all year round.

At La Mata you will find almost all the necessary facilities. Here you have supermarkets, shops, medical centre, pharmacy, bank and post office and more. Every Wednesday there is a large street market with approx. 250 stalls in La Mata. Here you can buy clothes, shoes, fruit and vegetables and much, much more for cheap.

At La Mata you will find a large proportion of northern Europeans, but the area is also a favorite holiday destination for people from the larger Spanish inland cities, such as Madrid.

Good hiking opportunities

In the area you will find several wonderful hiking areas. To the west is Parque Natural de La Mata, with the large salt lake Laguna Salada. This is an enormous free area around the salt lake with hiking trails and a rich bird life.

Just north of La Mata is another large natural area that stretches all the way to the neighboring town of Guardamar. Here you can walk for kilometers along the beach in beautiful, untouched natural surroundings. South of the city of Torrevieja is the Parque del Molino de Agua park, with hiking trails criss-crossing.

Here you will find low-growing pine trees that grow on sand dunes. The park also has a waterfall that runs from the top of the park almost all the way down to the beach.

Facilities in surrounding areas

The private and renowned hospital in Torrevieja, Quiron, is only 2.5 km away from your apartment. And if you like shopping, you will find the shopping center Habaneras and Carrefour only 4.5 km away.

At Habaneras you will also find activities such as a cinema, bowling and an arcade centre. The largest shopping center on the Costa Blanca, Zenia Boulevard, is 13 km south along the N332 coastal road.

On this part of the Costa Blanca you will also find a wide selection of very good golf courses. In just 30 minutes’ drive, you reach at least seven golf courses – including La Finca and Las Colinas. These are considered to be the very best golf courses in Spain.

La Mata is also close to the coastal road N332, and there are good bus connections to it Torrevieja, the airport and Alicante.
